米Googleは2月13日（現地時間）、「Android 17」のベータ版を初めて公開した。3月にAPIの仕様を確定させる節目「Platform Stability」を迎えたのち、数カ月のテストを経て第2四半期にも正式にリリースされる予定。

また、Android 17正式版の登場以降も、四半期ごとにアップデートが提供される。2026年第2四半期には、アプリの動作に関わる大きな変更が計画通り導入されるという。追加のAPIや機能を含むSDKのマイナーバージョンアップは第4四半期に予定される。
