Rust言語を採用したコードエディター「Zed」で、「GitHub Copilot」がサポートされたとのこと。米Microsoft傘下のGitHubが2月19日（米国時間）、公式ブログで一般提供の開始を発表した。

米GitHubは現地時間13日、ワークフロー自動化ツール「GitHub Actions」において、Markdownで目標を記述するだけで自動実行する新機能「GitHub Agentic Workflows」をテクニカルプレビューとして提供開始した。

GitHubは2026年2月19日、高速に動作するエディタZedにおけるGitHub Copilot対応を一般提供で開始した。正式なパートナーシップを通じてZedでの認証に完全に対応しており、有料のGitHub Copilotサブスクリプション （Pro、Pro+、Business、またはEnterprise） があれば、ZedでGitHub Copilotを利用できるようになった。

AIを用いたコーディングツールの普及に伴って、VLCやBlenderといったオープンソースプロジェクトに対する低品質なコードの提出が増加しています。この状況を打破するべく、貢献者の信頼度を管理するシステムも登場しています。
