Mojang Studiosは2月19日、『 Minecraft（マインクラフト） 』Java版のレンダリング基盤をOpenGLからVulkanに変更することを明かした。今夏からスナップショットを通してテストが進められる。この変更は、Java版におけるmacOSへの対応継続や、「バイブラントビジュアルズ（Vibrant Visuals）」の導入などを見越したものであるという。

Mojang Studiosは2月19日（現地時間）、提供中のサンドボックスゲーム『マインクラフト』におけるJava版にVulkanを描画APIとして導入する予定だと明らかにした。リリース以来使い続けられてきたOpenGLからついに移行する。
