Japan Airlines Flight 123, also known as JAL 123, was a domestic Japan Airlines passenger flight from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to Osaka International Airport, Japan. On August 12, 1985, the Boeing 747 suffered a catastrophic decompression 12 minutes into the flight and subsequently crashed into two ridges of Mount Takamagahara in Ueno, Gunma Prefecture, 32 minutes later.
